Kastel Denmark lightweight shirts are great, but this particular shirt feels more like a medium weight fabric.Nice fit, fabulous material and design. I wear it cycling since it has mesh inserts in the sleeves. It would pair nicely with jeans. Let’s hear it for the Danes!!!I'm not one for sun shirts- the idea of a long sleeve shirt being comfortable in hot weather just doesn't make sense to me but I still thought I'd give this a try for some yard work. To my surprise, it was great!There are mesh panels/inserts in the underarm area that extend down the sleeve for a lot of breathability. The zipper neck is also nice (I wear it zipped down) and the material is soft, silky, and lightweight. The print and colors are also exactly as pictured and look really nice.I was a little worried about sizing since it seemed to run pretty small. However, the XL was just fine for me and that is my standard size (38-40C). It's form fitting but still flattering on me. I would say go by the measurements, not the size listed on the size chart. If you prefer your tops less form fitting, then I would recommend sizing up if you have the option.I do wish it had thumb holes at the end of the sleeves. Since so many athletic tops have them these days, I was a little surprised this one didn't.Overall, I think this is a great quality top and I'm really glad I gave it a shot. However, $95 (at time of writing) these are on the pricier side even though it’s made in China (which is difficult to find anywhere online but is on the shirt label). If these were half the price they'd be a better value but it's hard to justify purchasing multiples at this price point.This sun shirt is my first experience with the Kastel Denmark brand. I'm impressed!I live in the high desert and have very fair skin. So, sun protection is a must for me. This sun shirt is UPF rated and has lovely design features like mesh paneling for keeping cool. It's made of a four-way stretch fabric for a very comfortable feel.This shirt was sewn with care with no loose threads or crooked seams. The zipper functions well and operates with ease. It's a really nice quality shirt.I chose the "Blue Beauty" print and it is so beautiful! I would say that it is fairly represented in the description photos. My 6-year-old daughter says that this print reminds her of Elsa's horse from Disney Frozen. I agree, it looks like something Elsa would wear! The icy blue tones look very harmonious with my fair and cool-toned complexion. It's very flattering.For reference, I am 5'5" tall 110 lbs 30D with a straight body shape and long limbs with a short torso. I typically wear a size 0 or XS in clothing. After glancing at the size chart provided by Kastel Denmark I noted that my measurement fell within the XS range and that is the size that I ordered. This shirt fits close to the body and I would say that it is true-to-size.I'm really happy with this shirt. The only thing I would change is adding thumb loops - a feature I always appreciate in a sun shirt.This is a luxurious sun shirt! The material is lightweight and silky feeling, wearable even on 90℉ days.The sizing runs a little small. According to the Kastel Denmark size chart, I would wear a size small. Normally I’m a size 4-6, 34 inch chest (34A). Since I hadn’t tried the brand before, I sized up to a medium and that was the right choice for me. The shirt is snug but not too tight.The hem is a split hem, I like that as it adds a little flexibility with the sizing at the waist.I wish the quarter-zip neck had a zipper stop. The neck fits very close to the body, so the zipper sometimes pokes my neck.The insides of the sleeves are mesh, which helps to keep you cool. I don’t love the mesh inserts, as I noticed the mesh kept twisting on my arms, so it was on the outsides of my arms. The mesh runs the full length of the sleeve.The shirt doesn’t have any tags on the back of the neck, a plus for an active shirt. It’s machine washable. I’ve washed it a few times, on gentle cycle, and then line dried. It’s holding up well.I am 5'7" and 155lbs, I normally wear between a size M and L. I ordered this in a size L because I don't like my shirts tight. This was the perfect size to order. The shirt fit me in a flattering way without being too tight.This shirt is incredibly high quality. The half zip works great and the fabric breaths well and feels great against your skin. It's a very lightweight material. The arms have a black mesh on the inside of them that goes all the way up to your arm pits. I tried to take a picture of the mesh and fabric pattern in the third picture. This is a unique and very functional design; it allows you to stay very cool while still providing sun protection for your outside arms and shoulders.The pattern on here is super cute and unique, I love it! I also love the versatility here. I can wear this in warm weather for sun protection or I can layer this under short sleeve shirts or sweaters for extra warmth as we go into the fall and winter and it will add a cute bit of pattern and style to my outfits!I had high expectations for this shirt and it exceeded them all! Highly recommended and worth the money! I am considering buying another one in a different color.This beautiful Kastel of Denmark shirt speaks quality, right out of the package. The ¼ zip front has a small stand-up collar and is a lovely aqua print with a semi-abstract design of a flying horse throughout. It is subtle and artistic. The breathable lightweight fabric is UV protective with added antibacterial odor protection and is soft and comfortable. There is a soft white mesh insert under the arm running from the underarm seam to the top of the wristband. The shirt sizing runs small, so be sure to order a size up if you are even in the middle range of your S,M,L category. It is a beautiful shirt.
