Greetings.I bought couple of these for my wife and she was absolutely overjoyed. Finally, I found a proper cashmere cardigan for her. This is properly labelled as 100% cashmere as compared to some sweaters I have bought from third party Chinese sellers (example Long Ming) which have no labels or a label attached with a safety pin saying 100% cashmere and then the description (which was recently changed from 100% to 85%) stating 85% cashmere and 15% wool. In USA, it is a federal requirement for a woolen/cashmere anything to have a label properly stitched to the garment stating the amount of cashmere/wool etc used to make it. When you ask such third grade sellers a question about the materials, they will reply saying "sorry, this is is 80% this and 20% that or 90% this and 10% that". I am simply fed up with amazon allowing this to happen. In UK this fabric is highly regulated to I was buying cashmere sweaters directly from UK before I changed ways and started to buy them here and ran into some problems. The only certain way to find out if a sweater is 100% cashmere is to send some of the fibers to a lab to be analyzed for the micron length they have. This is obviously impractical for general consumers like us, so we have to rely on the labels stitched to the fabric. That is why it is better to stick to a good brand when buying such stuff and check the label directly on the garment, which are many. If the label is not there or attached by a safety pin then you may need to be more careful. The safety pin label is used by some of the really high end designers for such garments and that fact is exploited by some low end fraudulent sellers. There is a "Wool Burn Test" that you can do to differentiate between wool and synthetic fibers. You can search it online and read about it. It is simple but please take the necessary precautions when doing it. It will not tell you the difference between different kinds of wool's however. This one is properly labelled, it is simply pure cashmere. I have a lot of experience with this fabric over the years and I can vouch confidently. Over time if you keep feeling the different kinds of wool clothes you will have; you will easily start to make the difference. Cashmere has very small micron fibers and it should feel very soft. The smaller the fiber the softer the wool tends to be.It is expensive though as most good fabric stuff out there. You can spend 50 for a fake cashmere sweater or stick to some brand like this one. I would also recommend to check the cashmere sweaters sold by big retailers like Macy's, Dillard's, J Crew etc. Ideally if you can find a cashmere sweater for 100 or less, you are fine. Sometimes the new colors sell off before the sweater's goes on sale so keep a eye on that in case you want a new color (implying a color other than standard black, navy, grey etc). This is what I have experienced over some time now so I thought would be best to give a head's up.I am sure they will go on sale sometime in case you want to grab them when the price is a little better.Quality wise, I am very satisfied and so is my wife.I hope this helps you.Regards.This replaces a high end Saks sweater that I had for about 10 years. Lost my luggage and many beloved classic items like my cashmere sweater and stole. Shipping was quicker than expected.I needed a plus size and I did buy this up a size for layering. I usually wear this when I fly or travel for warmth -- and it is much easier to take off while on the airplane than a jacket when you are in those narrow seats.Good color on this. I got basic black and it is a true black. Buttons a bit lighter but that is okay.Better than expected -- thank you for ability to zoom in and really see the quality prior to purchase.why 4 stars -- it is not as thick as my Saks one but it is still nice :)I love this sweater. It is soft and fits well. I have worn it 3-4 days per week since it arrived and it hasn’t stretched out of shape or had little balls form on it. I would buy it in other colors too, if offered.Nice and soft but costly. This cardigan fits very well in sizing, and it is warm and soft, and made very well. It is on the slightly thicker/heavier/warmer side of cardigans, but that is exactly what I was looking for. I use this as a business cardigan over either a round-neck or button-up shirt, with a chunky necklace. It is a mark of quality of the long fibers used that my necklace has not yet once caught on the cardigan. The cardigan is just tailored enough to look very good, and not so long as to look too casual, and yet not too short so that any top underneath does not show. I love these and have them in several colors. The sweater is not itchy. It's very soft and, unlike many tissue-thin cashmere sweaters I've seen in recent years, thick. The buttons appear to be real mother-of-pearl, which is a nice touch. The only thing that I kind of don't like is that it's a touch on the boxy side and about 4 inches too long on me even though I am a little taller than average. It gives the sweater a bit of a matronly feel. Given how much too long it is I am not sure sizing down would be very helpful, particularly because it fits me quite nicely through the shoulders and arms and the sleeve length is pretty good as well. I'm keeping it, however. I can style it like a grandpa cardigan (wearing open with long necklace, etc.), even though I was looking for more of a Jackie-O style. I am 5'6" and 150 lbs and I bought a Medium.I keep buying these sweaters for my wife because she loves them. They are warm, look great and last for years if maintained properly. When I buy these cashmere sweaters for my wife she never complains. I learned years ago to never buy things for my wife that involve manual labor like vacuum cleaners. You can't go wrong with a cashmere sweater and red would be a nice color for Valentine's Day.I received this sweater today which was purchased to wear over a sleeveless dress, just in case of cold weather in the fall. I usually wear a large, and this is a little too roomy. It hits at the lower hip (I am 5'9") and fits through the hip. My biggest problem with it is the tag which says it is 100% cashmere, which I would be willing to bet it's not. The tag says it's made in China, so that makes me even more suspicious. I would guess that it's partly merino wool because it just does not have that super soft, luxurious feel of my other cashmere sweaters. That said, I will keep it because I need it soon, and I feel it's well made.Ok, this is an ok cardi, but nothing special. I didn’t know that I was ordering out of the country, that would of been helpful to know. However, the service was ok didn’t have to pay customs charge, so the price was as stated. Took a little log to arrive.Lovely cardigan, but very expensive when delivery is added onNot at all cheap but just what I wanted in colour, fit and fabric. Cashmere is always worth taking seriously.Very niceI am happy with this purchase. The cashmere is so soft. The sweater is not too thick not too thin. The seller offered a prompt reply, when I had a question regarding its size. The shipping was very fast. For your reference, I am 1.6 meter tall, 54kg weight. Petite Small fits me well. Would purchase more cashmere sweaters from this seller. Great value. Beautiful sweater!updated: This sweater starts piling after a few wears. I am so sad and frustrated about how to get off the piling. I will not purchase any more.
