I bought the X-small for my daughter who is 5'3" and about 110lbs. it was almost too small, but she didn't want me to go to the trouble of exchanging it. It is kind of tight around the body and hips, and she's not that curvy. She definitely couldn't wear it over snow pants. I know that a lot of coats/jackets that she tried on in stores she would have needed an x-small. It is cute, but keep in mind that it is not down, so it is lightweight and warm but not super warm.
